Teenager strangled to death in Lohagara van in Narail, accused arrested.
Police have recovered the body of a van driver named Tamim Khan (13) in Lohagara upazila of Narail. An accused named Aminul has been arrested in this incident.
The deceased Tamim Khan is the son of Rubel Khan of Hobkhali village in Sadar upazila. Ujjwal Roy, District Representative from Narail said that the police recovered the body of the teenager around 11:30 am on Sunday (January 5).
Lohagara Police Station OC Md. Ashiqur Rahman confirmed the recovery of the body. According to the relatives of the deceased and police sources, the van driver, teenager Tamim Khan, went missing on Friday (January 3) afternoon. Later, the relatives started searching for him in all possible places. At one point, the cousin of the deceased teenager said that he saw Tamim taking the accused Aminul in a van. Later, the relatives of the deceased arrested the accused Aminul and reported the incident to the police. Later, during interrogation by the Sadar Police Station and the Detective Branch, Aminul confessed that after killing Tamim by giving him sleeping pills with food, he buried him in the Mosaghuni area of Lohagara Upazila and sold the van in that village. Later, the OC of Narail Sadar Police Station Sajedul Islam and a team of Detective Branch recovered the body of the deceased from the Mosaghuni area of Lohagara Upazila in the presence of the Lohagara Police Station and handed over the accused Aminul to the Lohagara Police Station. Narail Sadar Police Station OC Sajedul Islam said that during interrogation of the accused, it was learned that he strangled Tamim to death and buried him in the Mosaghuni area of Lohagara. Later, according to his confession, the body was found at the scene. In this incident, the accused Aminul has been arrested and two people have been taken into custody on charges of buying and selling stolen vans. Lohagara Police Station will take legal action.
In this regard, Lohagara Police Station OC Md. Ashiqur Rahman told this reporter Ujjwal Roy that the body has been recovered and is being sent to Narail Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Legal action is under process in this incident.
