Tasnim Meem's poem: Farewell Twenty-four

Twenty-four, you had success, fulfillment
And again, you had sorrow, regret, and despair.

Your chest was torn apart by the cries of Comilla and Feni,
Your sky and air were heavy with the cries of the helpless people in the forest.

In your chest there was movement, war, struggle.
In your chest there was bloodshed, murder, inequality, and lies.
With your hand, dictatorship has departed.

You have caused a popular uprising,
You have created a new history.
To save the country, the fresh lives of countless people have flowed from your chest like Abu Saeed, like a bewitched man.

You have broken the door of the mirror house,
You have rescued innocent people.
There was a bridge of happiness and sorrow in you,
You will remain immortal in the pages of memory Twenty-four.
