On Friday (06 September 2024) at around 3 pm, based on secret sources, a joint force team consisting of Army, Magistrate, Police, RAB and BGB led by 2 Infantry Brigade of 10 Infantry Division, 9 East Bengal, recovered two houses in PMkhali Union of Cox's Bazar Sadar Upazila. surrounded by Due to the team's prudence and timely right decision in this 5-hour long operation, no terrorist failed to escape from the place. The two houses were then searched and a significant amount of domestic and foreign arms and ammunition were recovered.

The recovered weapons include 3 single barrel guns, 2 LGs, 2 9mm pistols, 3 pistol magazines, 9 rounds of pistol ammo, 39 cartridges, 5 da, 1 chain, 1 Chinese ax and 2 kreechs. was rescued.

Also, 8 persons were arrested from the spot in connection with the weapon. After the necessary legal process, the accused were handed over to the police and later taken to the police station. Currently, the proceedings against the accused are ongoing.

The 8 accused arrested from the spot are Kalim Ullah (34), Md Khorshed Alam (37), Md Hasan Sharif Laden (20), Md Shaheen (23), Md Mizan (20), Abdul Malek (48), Abdul Hai (24) and Abdul Aziz (25)

It is also known that the arrested persons using the recovered weapons were carrying out destructive terrorist activities including killings in their own and surrounding areas for the past few years. This weapon recovery operation of the joint forces has brought relief to the locals. No casualties were reported in the arms recovery operation. The mentioned defendants are accused in the Morshed Bali murder case.
