Two people were killed in a clash between two groups of BNP over dominance in Narail. At least five people were injured. The clash took place in Char Mallikpur village of Narail Lohagara upazila on Wednesday (September 11) morning.
The deceased are Miran Sheikh (48) and Zia Sheikh (40), son of Samad Sheikh of Chermallikpur area. They are your two brothers. However, the identity of the injured is not yet known. There is tension in the area in this incident.
According to local people, Lohagara Upazila Youth Party President Mahamud Khan and District BNP Joint General Secretary Ferdous Sheikh had been in dispute for a long time over local supremacy. A clash between the two groups took place on Wednesday morning when Mahmud Khan's followers attacked Ferdous Sheikh's people. At this time 7 people were injured. When the injured were taken to Lohagarh Health Complex, the doctors on duty declared Miran Sheikh and Zia Sheikh dead.
Lohagarh Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun said two of the same family were killed in a clash between two groups over dominance in the area. Additional police have been deployed in the area. The body was recovered and sent to Narail Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police are trying to catch those involved in the incident.
