Tourists cannot visit Saint Martin without permission

Several plans have been adopted to protect the environment of the island. In addition to restricting tourists, no tourist can visit the island without registration or permission. Director General of Environment Directorate Abdul Hamid said these things in the president's speech at the seminar titled 'Consultation on banning the use of single use plastic in Saint Martin's Island' in the conference room of a hotel in Cox's Bazar city on Thursday afternoon.

He said that efforts will be made to protect the environment by limiting tourists in St. Martin and improving the quality of life of the people there. The Director General of the Department of Environment also said that the work will be started very soon to free the city of Cox's Bazar.

Seeking everyone's cooperation to keep the sea plastic-free, he also said that there will be no concession in the matter of cutting mountains and filling water bodies. Zero tolerance has been announced for this from our ministry. We are working on the pollution of the country's rivers. The Department of Environment has already taken several steps to keep the rivers pollution free.
