5 dredgers used for illegal sand extraction in Jhalkathi seized

HM Nasir Uddin Jhalkathi Correspondent: 5 dredger machines used for illegal extraction of sand have been seized in the operation of district administration in Sugandha and Bishkhali rivers of Jhalkathi. These dredgers were seized from Sugandha-Bishkhali-Gabkhan estuary and Bishkhali river by conducting 3 separate operations on Thursday afternoon. Senior Assistant Commissioner and NDC Shyamananda Kundu led the operation and other officials of the district administration and policemen were present.

NDC Shyamananda Kundu said that sand is extracted illegally from different areas of Sugandha and Bishkhali rivers. The operation was conducted by mobile court after receiving the news on Thursday. 5 dredgers were seized. Dredgers were found stopped. Further legal action is in process. This campaign will continue for the sake of the country.
