17 injured in a head-on collision between two microbuses in Sherpur

Seventeen people, including five children, were injured in a head-on collision between two microbuses in front of Nabinagar Technical in Sherpur Municipal Area on the Sherpur-Dhaka highway. The condition of 13 of them is critical.

The accident happened around 5:30 am on Monday (09 September).



None of the 17 people injured in the accident have been identified yet. First they were all taken to Sherpur Sadar Hospital. Later, 13 people were referred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital as their condition was critical.
Of the two accident-hit micro-buses, one came from Dhaka's airport area and the other from Savar. The accident occurred when the micro-bus from Savar was returning to Sherpur with gas.



Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sherpur Sadar Police Station Mohammad Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter. He said that no death has been reported so far. However, the condition of the injured is critical. All were first taken to Sherpur Sadar Hospital. From there, many critical patients have been referred to Mymensingh Medical College.
