The Office of the High Commissioner will appoint a fact-finding team in the coming weeks to report on human rights abuses during the protests, abuse of power by law enforcement agencies, as well as root cause analysis, justice, accountability and long-term reform recommendations.


A UN advance team visited Bangladesh last week (August 22-29), the briefing said.
