Attack on number 32 on August 15, injured Awami League leader died


On August 15, a member of Ramganj Upazila Awami League and former social service affairs secretary of Chhatra League, MA Momin Patwari, who was attacked while paying respects to the portrait of Bangabandhu at number 32 of Dhanmondi, died.


He died on Friday (August 30) at 4 am while undergoing treatment at the capital's Greenlife Hospital.

Momin Patwari's elder brother's son Muntakim Patwari confirmed the death.


He was 54 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, one son, relatives and numerous relatives. He was suffering from diabetes, heart disease and other problems.

According to Awami League's verified Facebook page and family sources, MA Momin Patwari went to pay homage to Bangabandhu's portrait on his death anniversary last (August 15). He was attacked there. He got serious injuries on his legs and different parts of his body. He was later taken to Greenlife Hospital. If the condition worsens, he is admitted to the ICU. He died at 4 am on Friday while undergoing treatment there.

Upazila Awami League and other organizational leaders have expressed deep grief over the death of Momin Patwari and condoled with the bereaved family. Apart from this, leaders of various political, social and cultural organizations have expressed grief.
