Unraveling the mystery of shocking murder in Narail, accused arrested

Unraveling the mystery of the sensational murder in Narail, arresting the accused and giving a confessional statement. Mouchra Baitul Noor is the Imam of Jame Masjid under Lohagra Police Station of Narail District. Sometimes he used to come and go to his village home in Gobra village under Narail Sadar police station. His wife Mocha Iti Begum (42) lived alone in the village house. Ujjwal Ray, Narail district representative said that about 10 months ago, a person named Md. Monirul Islam Moni rented a single-storey house with tin shed jute fence on a contract of five hundred taka per month. Last 20/04/2024 estimated at 20.30 minutes Imam's nephew Md Ferdous Molya (18) called him saying that his wife Mocha Iti Begum (42) could not be found and the house of their tenant Md Monirul Islam Moni was locked. Last 21/04/2024 at around 18.00 in the evening, Imam's relative Md. Jewel Biswas reported that a smell was coming from his house. Then Imam Md. Shafiqul Islam along with his relatives and neighbors searched his house, broke the lock of the tenant Md. Monirul Islam Moni's house and entered the house and found his wife Mosha Iti Begum (42) with her throat cut and next to it covered with a sack. see a pair of scissors. He found the bed sheet on the post, covered in blood.

In view of the said incident, the victim Md. Shafiqul Islam filed a statement at Narail Sadar police station accusing Md. Monirul Islam Moni (48) and unknown 1/2 people, Narail Sadar police station case no-21, dated 22/04/2024 AD, Section-302 /201/34 Penal Code Act provides for a case of murder. After the case was registered, on the orders of Superintendent of Police of Narail District Mohd Mehdi Hasan, investigating officer of the case, SI (Unarmed) SM Rezaul Karim, along with several teams entered the field to arrest the accused and unravel the mystery of the case. In continuation of this with the help of information technology, Mr. Tarek Al Mehdi, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) under the direct leadership of Police Inspector (Investigation) of Narail Sadar Police Station Md. Sajedul Islam, SI (Unarmed) Md. Saiful Islam and ASI (Unarmed) of Mirzapur Police Camp Md. Saiful. A smart team formed including Islam conducted an operation yesterday 27/05/2024 night at approximately 22.00 hrs. Accused Ziaur Rahman (42), father-deceased Neshar Biswas, Sang-Gobra, Thana-Narail Sadar, District- Narail was arrested from his home in Gobra. do   Accused Ziaur Rahman admitted during interrogation that absconding accused Md Monirul Islam Moni had agreed to buy bricks from victim Iti Begum approximately five months ago for twenty thousand taka and three months ago for thirty thousand taka. But Md. Monirul Islam Moni did not buy bricks and kept turning him around. The victim Mocha: Iti Begum (42) later took a loan of two lakh rupees from BRAC Bank for the purchase of land, which the accused Md Monirul Islam Moni and Ziaur Rahman came to know. Accused Victim Mocha: To embezzle the said loan money of Iti Begum, Gobra planned to sit in Hafiz Mia's tea shop at Kakur Mor. At that time they bought speed, chanachur, chocolate, cake and sleeping pills and went to their respective homes. Md. Monirul Islam Moni mixed sleeping medicine in a speed bottle and called the accused Ziaur Rahman from home at about 22.00 and gathered in his room. After some time, Md. Monirul Islam Moni called the victim Mosha: Iti Begum and fed her Chanachur, chocolate and cake with a trick of speed mixed with sleeping pills. Then the accused Md. Monirul Islam Moni first raped the victim Mocha Iti Begum in the middle of the floor of her house and later the accused Ziaur Rahman raped her. Victim Mocha: Iti Begum falls unconscious due to taking sleeping pills. At about 2:00 a.m., accused Ziaur held the wooden post high and accused Md. Monirul Islam Moni dragged the victim, Iti Begum, under the post. Then accused Ziaur held both legs of Iti Begum and accused Md. Monirul Islam Moni sat on Iti Begum's chest and killed her by cutting her throat with sharp scissors in his room. So that the blood does not go outside the house, they wipe the blood with the kantha, blanket and cloth inside the house and keep it inside the house. After that the accused took the key of her house which was with the victim Mosha: Iti Begum and opened the lock of the house and entered her house. Victim Mocha: Iti Begum searches for money and gold ornaments in the showcase and other places in the house but does not find any money. Later Ziaur Rahman went to his house. Md. Monirul Islam@Moni stays in Iti Begum's house and escapes by locking the house in the morning. 

When the arrested accused Ziaur Rahma was sent to the learned court, he gave a confessional statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Efforts are on to arrest the fugitive accused Md Monirul Islam Moni.
