 The life of ordinary people living on the bank of Teesta River in Chitlia Dighar of Phulchari Upazila of Gaibandha district has become miserable due to extremely hot temperatures.

Most of the people living in these hills are poor, landless and helpless. The people living on the Teesta are constantly fighting against various types of hostile environment. As the water in the river rises during the rainy season, along with the erosion of the river, the land for growing crops is lost in the river water. Their work areas are closed. Similarly, the river water dries up and turns into a desert in the summer. The lack of water disrupts the cultivation. If the current temperature continues like this, the tubewell People living in chars think it will be difficult to fetch water. It is really difficult to live in chars.
