Farmers benefit from AWD paddy cultivation

In Gaibandha District, Phulchari Upazila, under Chitlia Dighar Char Frendship, the beneficiary farmers under the coverage of Solar Irrigation Pump have benefited by cultivating paddy in AWD system. Affected farmers said that they are seeing the light of hope.

Speaking with the farmers, the trainer Jewel Rana learned that the farmers are seeing profit by cultivating rice in this method, even diseases are reduced due to the cultivation of rice in this method, as a result of which they will produce more rice in the future and turn the wheel of their fortune. Apart from this, as a result of climate change, the rain water is decreasing day by day, as a result of which rice cultivation in this method will play an important role in protecting the climate as well as preventing the wastage of surface water, Kharen trainer Jewel Rana thinks.
