Teknaf Model Police Station raided the hills adjacent to No. 22 Unchiprang Rohingya Camp and arrested a local gangster with a one-shooter gun and indigenous weapons.
Yesterday on March 28, at 5:30 am, a police raid team led by Officer-in-charge of Teknaf Model Police Station, Muhammad Osman Gani, on the basis of secret information, on the north side of 16APBN Police Check Post of 22 Unchiprang Camp of Hoikang UP of Teknaf Upazila, in a special operation to recover weapons on the hill, Nabi Sultan, son of deceased Ruhul Amin of Raikxyong Dakshin Para. alias Naveen (35) was able to be arrested. Later, on the confession of the arrested person, 1 country-made one shooter gun (LG), 3 big da (gadur da), 4 bent head da, 1 long da were recovered from his custody.
Officers-in-charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Muhammad Osman Gani said that a regular case has been filed in Teknaf Model Police Station regarding the recovery of weapons. Preparations are underway to hand over the arrested accused to the learned court under police guard.
It should be noted that with the connivance of some of these local gangsters, hill gangsters have been abducting common people including farmers and disrupting the life of ordinary people by carrying out ransom trade and deteriorating the law and order situation.
