Dr. Khulna Agricultural University (Khukribi) as president in the election of the executive council of the teachers' association. Md. Dr. Asaduzzaman Manik and General Secretary. Mohammad Ashiqul Alam was re-elected.
The election was scheduled to be held on Wednesday (March 20) but as there was no contest, Chief Election Commissioner Kishore Kumar Tikadar announced the results on Monday (March 18). In this, the panel nominated by Neel Dal, a teacher's organization inspired by the spirit of the liberation war and Bangabandhu's ideology, won unopposed.
Others of the newly elected committee are vice-president Bidyut Matubbar, joint-editor Debashish Pandit, joint-editor Rakibul Hasan Md. Rabbi, Treasurer Ankur Chowdhury, Research, Information Technology and Publicity Secretary Humaira Yasmin, Sports and Culture Secretary Dr. Jasmin Ara, Women Affairs Secretary Mir Rifat Jahan Usha, Social Welfare Secretary Kazi Mousumi Akhter.
Besides, Afsana Yasmin, Prosenjit Sarkar, Rasmia Sultana, Pooja Roy and Mocha: Sabina Alim were elected as members.
Soon after the announcement of the results, the newly-elected executive council of the teachers' association paid tributes by placing wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation located in the campus.

Asaduzzaman Manik said that this teachers' association will work tirelessly to establish the fair rights of the university teachers and ensure a fair academic environment. Besides, he requested everyone's cooperation to play an effective role in the overall development of the university.
General Secretary Dr. Md. Ashiqul Alam expressed his gratitude to the university teachers for their unwavering support. At the same time, he expressed hope for the improvement of the quality of education and research of the university by keeping the ideals of Bangabandhu and playing a leading role in the formation of the permanent campus of the university.
