Office assistant transferred to Rangamati for taking bribe

 


Harassment of service aspirants including bribery in the Jhenaidah Drug Super office is a long-standing complaint. On such allegations, the representatives of the anti-corruption office attacked the office dressed as service seekers. An office assistant of the office was caught by the ACC raid team while taking a bribe of Tk 500. The ACC official ordered to take departmental action against him. Later the accused office assistant was transferred to hill district Rangamati as punishment.


This incident happened on Thursday (March 7) around noon. The name of the accused office assistant (MLSS) is Lutfar Rahman.


According to the related sources, service aspirants are being harassed in Jhenaidah Drug Super office for a long time along with bribery - it has been complained to the ACC. As a result, ACC Assistant Director Md. Asaduzzaman, assistant inspector Kaushar Ahmed and ASI Mohsin Hasan disguised themselves as drug dealers in that office. Sarfuzaman, the owner of M/s Shaheen Homeo Hall on ASS road in the district town, went there to collect the license at around 1 pm. At that time, the accused office assistant Lutfar Rahman demanded bribe from the person. At that time, the businessman gave five hundred taka to Lutfar.


It is known that during this time, ACC representatives caught Lutfar red-handed with money. At that time, the drug super was staying in his office. After receiving the news, the deputy director of the integrated district office of Jhenaidah said. Shafi Ullah rushed to the spot. He requested Drug Super Sirajum Monira to take departmental action against the person immediately involved in the allegation of accepting bribe. He was later reportedly transferred.


When asked about the matter, accused Lutfar Rahman said, now is not the time to talk. Join the new workplace within 10 days. I am busy with organizing everything.


However, drug super Sirajum Monira has denied taking bribe. He said Lutfar Rahman has been transferred to Rangamati district on the instructions of the Director General of Drug Administration Department. He has been asked to join the new workplace by March 10.
