A total of 572 liters of octane was seized in 11 drums including a Toyota Noah car while illegally smuggling octane to the neighboring country by evading government revenue by raiding the KK Para area of Teknaf Municipality of Cox's Bazar.

He said that on Wednesday (March 20) night, on the basis of secret information, RAB-15, CPC-1 Teknaf camp raid team conducted an operation to prevent the illegal smuggling of octane to the neighboring country in KK Para area of Ward 3 of Teknaf municipality. At that time, the RAB raid team was able to recover a total of 572 liters of octane in 11 drums for illegal smuggling by searching a Toyota Noha car on the paved road in front of Kasturi Hotel and Restaurant in the area. It is to be noted here that the traffickers, anticipating the presence of the raiding party, fled by abandoning the vehicle and the intended octane of the vehicle in order to avoid arrest. The operation to identify the vehicle owners, drivers and traffickers is continuing.
He also said that the Noha car used in smuggling along with the recovered octane GR No. 36/24 has been handed over to Teknaf customs warehouse.
