Today (10/03/24) a surveillance operation was conducted in Dayrampur market of Bagatipara upazila.

A fine of 11,000 (eleven thousand) rupees was imposed during the market surveillance campaign.

Under the authority of the Director General of the National Consumer Rights Protection Department under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. District Administrator and Upazila Executive Officer Bagatipara, National Consumer Rights Protection Department, Natore district office today 10th March, 2024, Bagatipara of Natore District with the overall support of Mr. An expedition to Ra Upazila is administered.


6,000/= for the offense of storing expired cosmetics for the purpose of sale under Section 51 of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 under various sections of the Administrative System of Bagatipara Upazila, Oliul Store (Proprietor: Oliul Hossain) located in Dayarampur Bazar area, at 11:00 a.m. 5,000/= (Five thousand) for the offense of not using proper packaging of products etc. under Section 37 of Mahtab Store (Owner: Mahtab) located in the same market area, imposing a total fine of 11,000/= (Eleven Thousand) including Tk. has been realized.


Apart from this leaflets are distributed for awareness.

The above operation was conducted with the help of a four-strong police team from Bagatipara police station in Natore district.


Mr. Md. Mehdi Hasan Tanveer, Assistant Director of Natore District Office, Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection, conducted the campaign.

Such operations will continue in public interest.
