Like all over the country, Disaster Preparedness Day is celebrated with arm bands

National Disaster Preparedness Day was celebrated by Hatibandha Upazila Administration and Upazila Project Implementation Office of Lalmonirhat keeping in mind the slogan "Struggle in disaster preparedness and build smart Sonar Bangla".

On Sunday (March 10) morning, a rally, discussion meeting and exercise were held on the occasion of National Disaster Preparedness Day at Upazila Parishad Square.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Moshiur Rahman Mamun, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Maidul Islam Shah, Fire Service and Civil Defense Incharge Monir Hossain, District Women Affairs Officer Nachima Parveen, NGO representative Rabiul Islam and students of Northland Residential School and College were present.

Upazila Chairman Moshiur Rahman Mamun said that if we are aware and take preparations as a pre-preparation before the disaster, then any kind of disaster will not be able to cause huge damage to us.
