Law and order committee meeting was held at Kurigram District Commissioner's office on Sunday, March 10 at 11.00 am. Honorable members thanked the police and administration on the occasion. Along with that, several issues were discussed to build a beautiful Kurigram in the future. Kurigram District Deputy Commissioner Md. Saidul Arif presided over the monthly law and order committee meeting.

Superintendent of Police Al-Asad Md. Mahfuzul Islam, PPM Kurigram-22 BGB Captain Lt. Col. Md. Masudur Rahman, Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Manjur-e Murshed, Municipal Mayor Md. Qaziul Islam, Government College Principal Professor Mirza Md. Nasir Uddin, Ansar Commandant Md. Nahid Hasan Jani, District Education Officer Md. Shamsul Alam, Ulipur Municipal Mayor Md. Mamun Sarkar, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Unity Council President SM Chanalal Baksi, Jail Superintendent Md. Shafiqul Alam, Narcotics Control Directorate Assistant Director Abu Zafar, Women Deputy Director of Directorate of Affairs Mosa Zebun Nesha, senior officials of various departments, public representatives, upazila executive officers, officials of service organizations and many others were present.


In the meeting of the law and order committee, various issues were highlighted. Taking necessary measures to maintain law and order, prevent theft and robbery, prevent drug smuggling, encroachment of footpaths, traffic congestion in the city, cleanliness of the city,in addition to discussing the positive activities of Sadasaya government including the market control of commodity prices, the respected members also discussed in detail about the ongoing development in Kurigram and various development-oriented policing and projects of immense potential in the future.

Besides, the market control of commodity prices was discussed in the upcoming month of Ramadan and everyone thanked the Kurigram District Police for making the Zilla Parishad elections and Hatia UP elections fair, participatory and good law and order.
