Today Sunday, March 10 at 10 am traditional Kumarkhali Government College of Kushtia district organized inter-departmental volleyball competition and prize distribution and Kumarkhali Government College being the departmental champions in Kabaddi and Athletics, reception of the players was held in Kumarkhali College premises before the discussion meeting as the chief guest at Bangabandhu corner of the college and the foundation of the college mosque. 78 Kushtia-4 Kumarkhali-Khoksa Member of Parliament and Member of Standing Committee on Power, Energy Ministry Abdur Rauf laid the stone.
Kumarkhali Government College principal Prof. Molla Mohammad Ruhul Amin presided over the event and former Deputy Commissioner of Kushtia District Parishad Bir Muktijodh Zahid Hossain Zafar was present as a special guest, Kumarkhali Upazila Parishad repeatedly elected Chairman and Kumarkhali Upazila Icon Alhaj Abdul Mannankhan was present. Kumarkhali Mayor was present. Vice President of Awami League Zakaria Khan James, Vice Chairman of Kumarkhali Upazila Parishad Saidur Rahman Lalu was also present, Women Vice Chairman Marina Akhtar Meena, Former General Secretary of Kumarkhali Upazila Awami League Sheikh Altaf Mahmud was present, Former Chairman of Sadoki Union Parishad Abdul Majid, Jaduboyra Union Parishad Chairman Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Kumarkhali Municipality Ward No. 4 Councilor Farid Iqbal Khan,Chapra Union Parishad former chairman Monir Hasan Rintu, former student leader Md Akash Reza and many others were present.
The program was conducted by the Head of Department of English (Assistant Professor) Azizul Haque Swapan.
College vice-principal Binay Kumar Sarkar, head of Bengal department Zillur Rahman Madhu, college sports teacher Chanchal Kumar Karmakar, lecturer Russell Mosharraf Chowdhury and other teachers and students of the college were present on the occasion.
