Jubo League leader Sabuj's speech on the occasion of International Women's Day


 International Women's Day is being celebrated in Bangladesh like other countries of the world under the theme of digital technology and innovation, gender discrimination will be eliminated. Savar Thana Jubo League Joint General Secretary Zahidul Islam Sabuj gave a separate message on the occasion of the day on Friday (March 8).


Different countries around the world have been celebrating Women's Day since 1914 to establish women's equal rights; Later, since 1975, the United Nations has been celebrating the day as International Women's Day.


Congratulating all the women of Bangladesh and the world, Savar Thana Jubo League Joint General Secretary Zahidul Islam Sabuj said, "Participation of men and women in society, state and family development is an essential condition for desired development."



Congratulating all the women of the world including Bangladesh, Jubo League leader Zahidul Islam Sabuj said, 'Bangladesh has achieved incredible success in the socio-economic sector and women's empowerment in the last decade. From the highest levels of government to the local administration and the grassroots, there has been a massive expansion of women's empowerment. The government is sponsoring various initiatives to ensure women's education, to make women economically self-reliant, to enact laws to ensure protection and rights, and to ensure women's participation in the workplace and politics.


He said, 'With the target of sustainable development by 2030, everyone should come forward to build a knowledge-based smart Bangladesh by 2041 to build a country based on gender equality. As a result of the multifaceted steps taken by the government to establish Digital Bangladesh, Bangladesh is a pioneer in the Digital Bangladesh initiative, social safety net program and Sustainable Development Goals indicators through the use of technology at the grassroots level of the country. And at the root of this success is the huge investment in the development and empowerment of women.


Mentioning that Bangladesh has achieved incredible success in the socio-economic sector and women's empowerment in the last decade, he further said, 'The father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, started the process of women's development by establishing the active participation of women in all spheres of state and public life and equal rights of women in the constitution of Bangladesh. .'
