Father and nanny arrested in Patuakhali for selling newborns to avoid daughter's liability, rescuing newborns

Being the fourth daughter after three daughters, the father sold the newborn for just one lakh rupees to avoid the responsibility of four daughters. The child's mother Mosa: Shahnaz Begum said that Laiju Begum repeatedly asked where my child is, she told that the child has been sent to Barisal Medical College Hospital for treatment. My mind is telling me where my child has been taken. So I filed a case in Patuakhali police station to get the child back. Demand justice for those involved, including my husband.

Laiju Begum, the nanny of the accused Apollo Hospital, said that Hanif Mridha sold her daughter because she had four daughters in a row. He requested me to do this.

On the basis of Shahnaz Begum's complaint and confidential information, the newborn was rescued from the Patuakhali bridge and the nanny Laiju Begum of The Apollo Hospital and the newborn's father Md. Hanif Mridha was arrested and sent to jail through the court. Md. Jasim, officer in charge of Patuakhali Sadar Police Station, said that the newborn child was handed over to his mother.
