Extortion of extra money from SSC candidates in the name of practical exam, students protest

Students protested at the Barakhata Girls High School examination center in Hatibandhar, Lalmonirhat, for charging extra money for the practical examination of the SSC candidates. In this regard, Doani High School Assistant Teacher Lablu Hossain protested for taking extra money, Barakhata Girls High School Headmaster Ashraf Ali abused him as Nesha Khor. He also said, "He is drunk, he drinks wine." All the locals go.

On Wednesday (March 13) morning, the candidates of Barakhata Girls' High School of the upazila protested for taking extra money for the practical examination.

Students said that we are being forcefully charged extra money for practical exams. According to center fees, 200 taka is being taken for humanities and 300 taka for science. He threatened to fail the exam if he did not pay the money.

Ashraf Ali, Acting Headmaster of Barakhata Girls' High School, denied the matter and said that a group is trying to frame me by making false allegations against me.

In this regard, Hatibandha Upazila Nirbahi Officer UNO Atiqul Islam told Barta 24com, "I am aware of the matter." The upazila education officer has been asked to investigate the matter. Action will be taken after investigation.
