RAB-15, Cox's Bazar has been making a significant contribution in eradicating various crimes including murder, rape, kidnapping, pirates, dacoits, robbery, terrorist, extortion, militancy suppression, recovery of drugs and illegal weapons in the area under its responsibility.

In continuation of this, based on the secret information received locally along with the intelligence information of the RAB Forces Headquarters, on 16 March 2024 at 06.00 am, RAB-15, a smart raiding party of the CPSC camp of Cox's Bazar, entered the illegal hilly hill area of ​​Khanjnir's father in East Puirchhara under Maheshkhali Police Station of Cox's Bazar district. Conducted operations to recover arms and weapons manufacturing equipment and found an arms manufacturing factory there during the operation.

Realizing about the RAB operation, the illegal arms dealers started running away to the remote hills. At that time, RAB's raid team was able to arrest three of the gang involved in making and selling illegal arms while chasing them and during the raid, Badsha Mia, one of the artisans of the arms manufacturing factory, managed to escape to the remote mountainous area.Two indigenously made one-shooter guns and weapon-making equipment from the arms factory include iron drill machine, hammer, saw, four iron pipes, two iron barrels, hacksaw blade, two iron cutting blades, sixty washers, two punching rods, two large nuts. , Wrench, steel seed, three iron parts and iron brush, weapon making accessories including 50 small and big weapons making tools were recovered.

The arrested are Farid Alam (54), son of Fakir Mohammad, son of Faridul Alam, son of Faridul Alam, Jisad Prakash Sonamiya (22) and son of Faridul Alam, Md Bahim (20) of Maheshkhali Kala Raham area.

In the interrogation, it is known that the arrested said that he is one of the artisans of the weapons manufacturing factory, Badsha Mia. It is known that they were staying at Baper Ghona Pahar in East Puirchhara Khanjani under Maheshkhali police station and were secretly making weapons and conducting illegal arms trade, robbery, kidnapping and ransom collection and various criminal activities including drugs. Also, due to the remote mountainous area, a weapons manufacturing factory was built there. The fugitives and arrested persons used to collect necessary equipment for making firearms from different areas including Cox's Bazar city in the mentioned factories and make different types of domestic weapons. Later, the administration admitted that all these domestically made weapons were sold at high prices to Cox's Bazar city, Rohingya camp, terrorist group Arsa and criminals in different parts of the country.

A complaint has been lodged at Maheshkhali police station in Cox's Bazar for taking further legal action against the absconding and arrested accused along with the recovered evidence.
