Bangladesh won the title by defeating India 3-2 in the tiebreaker. There was a 1-1 draw in the regular time match of SAFF U-16 Women's Championship at ONFA Complex in Lalitpur, Nepal.
In the fourth minute of the match, Anushka Devi put the ball in the Bangladesh net to give India the lead. In the 70th minute, Miriam put the football in India's net and brought Bangladesh back to parity. After a 1-1 draw in regulation time, the match went straight to a tiebreaker. Surbhi Akand Preeti missed the first shot of the tiebreaker, but the heroics of goalkeeper Yarjan Begum took the title for the Red-Greens. The goalkeeper stopped three spot-kicks of India.
