Bangabandhu's birthday and National Children's Day are celebrated at Patnitala

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 104th birthday and National Children's Day were celebrated with due dignity through various programs organized by the upazila administration in Naogaon's Patnitala.


On Sunday (March 17) morning, national and party flags were raised in front of the upazila Awami League party office and a special prayer was offered.


State Minister for Planning Shahiduzzaman Sarkar MP was the chief guest on the occasion. Special guests were Upazila Awami League General Secretary and Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Ghaffar, UNO Poppi Khatun, Patnitala Thana Officer-in-Charge Mozaffar Hossain, Upazila Awami League President Vir Muktijodha Abdul Khalek Chowdhury, Vice President Abul Kalam Azad.


Municipal Mayor Rezaul Kabir Chowdhury, Upazila Vice Chairman Abdul Ahad, Women Vice Chairman Khatizatul Kobra Mukta, Zilla Parishad members Azad Rahman and Fatema Jinna Jharna, Awami League Organizing Secretary Arafat Hossain, Municipal Awami League President Shahidul Alam Bentu, Upazila Chhatra League were present. Later, State Minister Shahiduzzaman Sarkar, Upazila Administration, Upazila Parishad, Upazila Awami League and various political and social organizations paid tributes at Bangabandhu's funeral.


After that, at 10:30 in the morning, a discussion meeting and prize distribution ceremony was held under the chairmanship of UNO Popi Khatun at the Upazila Auditorium. It was attended by officials-employees of different departments of the upazila, leaders of political and social organizations, teachers and students of different schools, and journalists Sudheejan.
