Awareness meeting on disaster and climate inclusiveness of persons with disabilities held at Teknaf

In order to inform people of inclusive disaster-vulnerable climate change adaptation project and to ensure their rights and protection, the project notification meeting was held on March 13 at Teknaf Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Teknaf Upazila Project Implementation Officer Habibur Rahman, Teknaf Government Degree College Assistant Professor Babu Santosh Kumar Sheel, Upazila Information Service Officer Tashlima Khatun, Upazila Child Rights Officer Shahria spoke on the matter. Organized by National Grassroots Disability Organization (NGDO) NGDO Project and Manager Bashir Al Hussain and project coordinator Iftekhar Alam presented various information through multimedia projector. Sajjad Hossain, NGDO Cox's Bazar manager of the latter organization gave a significant discussion on this matter. Journalist Md. Ashek Ullah Farooqui, journalist Saifuddin Mohammad Mamun, women leader Kulsuma Begum and visually impaired Muhammad Hossain gave an opinionated speech. In the closing speech of the President, important statements were made about the civil rights and protection of the disabled. keep People's representatives, NGO representatives, representatives of various government departments and service recipients were present.
