Allegation of bribery of 8 lakh rupees in the appointment of assistant superintendent of madrasas in Jhalkathi

An allegation of bribery of 8 lakh rupees was found in the appointment of sub-superintendent of Alhaj Munsur Ali Dakhil Madrasa of Chhota Kaivartkhali village of Sadar Union of Rajapur Upazila of Jhalkathi. A candidate named Zahid Hasan, who applied for that post, made a written complaint to various offices including the District Commissioner and the district and upazila education workers.

According to the written complaint, since the post of Assistant Superintendent of Alhaj Munsur Ali Dakhil Madrasa is vacant, the president of the institution, Mehruba Mana, is getting the appointment of the unqualified assistant Maulvi Md. Helal Uddin Talukdar by accepting an extortion of Tk 8 lakh. The educational qualifications of Assistant Maulvi Md. Helal Uddin Talukdar are submitted-3rd Division, Alim 3rd Division, Fazil 2nd Division and Kamil 2nd Division. Instead of appointing qualified candidates through the recruitment test for the post of Assistant Superintendent, Helal Uddin Talukder has made the official recruitment process and made ancillary arrangements including preparations for the appointment. . If unqualified people are appointed in the institution despite not having the qualifications to manage the madrasa, it will cause irreparable damage to the education of the students of the educational institution. In the complaint, it was demanded that Md. Helal Uddin Talukdar, who was incompetent in the management process, should be appointed on the basis of merit and honesty.

Previously, in the same process, Md. Manir Hosere was also hired as a security worker for 8 lakh rupees, which will come out after investigation.

Assistant Maulvi Md. Helal Uddin Talukder denied the allegation of bribery. Denying the allegations, Madrasa president Mehruba Mana said that there is no recruitment business in the Madrasa. Earlier recruitments were on the basis of integrity, recruitment expenses were also paid by ourselves. This allegation is completely false and baseless. As per the rules, the appointing authority will appoint the qualified person on the basis of integrity.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mustafa Alam said that the madrasa's recruitment process is going on, verification is going on. The complaint will be investigated.
