Members of RAB-15 arrested a Rohingya terrorist along with weapons and bullets after raiding Rohingya Camp No. 22 of Unchiprang of Hoaikung Union under Teknaf Police Station of Cox's Bazar.

He said that on Thursday (March 28) night, RAB-15, Cox's Bazar, based on secret information, a person was staying in the Unchiprang Rohingya refugee camp area of ​​Hoikung Union of Teknaf Upazila for the purpose of selling drugs. Based on such information, RAB-15, an alert raider from Hoikang Camp conducted a raid on the spot. During the operation, when the raiding team appeared in front of Block-C/1 of Rohingya Refugee Camp No. 22 in Unchiprang area of ​​Teknaf Hoikung Union, they realized the presence of RAB and managed to arrest a person while trying to escape. Initial interrogation revealed that the arrested accused is a forcibly displaced Myanmar national. Later, 1 foreign pistol and 2 rounds were recovered by searching the body of the arrested person in the presence of witnesses.

In the preliminary investigation, it is known that Rohingya used to use the recovered firearms to carry out various criminal activities in the camp area. It is also known that the arrested accused has been carrying out various criminal activities by keeping the said illegal weapon illegally in his custody and creating fear among the public. Based on a tip-off, the above arms and ammunition were seized from the RAB raiding team.

He also said that the recovered evidence has been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station to take necessary legal action against the arrested accused.
