3 police arrested with ganja in Bhola

District Detective Police (DB) arrested 3 policemen with 5 kg of ganja in Bhola. Among them one Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and two Constables.

They were arrested yesterday (Monday March 11) at noon. A day after the incident, they were taken to the court on Tuesday afternoon, March 12.

Although no senior police officer confirmed the matter, Sadar Police Investigation Center Deputy Inspector (SI) Md. Mozammel confirmed this information.

Assistant Deputy Inspector of Police (ASI) arrested. Rafiqul Islam's house is in Ward No. 25 adjacent to Rupatali Bus Stand in Barisal Thana area. His father's name is late Rahim Khan. He was in charge of Bhola Sadar Police Investigation Centre.

The other two constables are working at Patuakhali police station. Wasim and Abu Rahat. Wasim is the son of deceased Harun Molla of Pathnia Kathi village of Gutia union under Uzirpur thana area of ​​Barisal and Abu Rahat is the son of deceased Shamsul Haque Howladar of Dakshin Bhuterdia village of Kedarpur union of Babuganj police station area of ​​Barisal.

Sadar Police Investigation Center Deputy Inspector (SI) Md. Mozammel said, a team of district intelligence police conducted a raid on Monday afternoon and arrested them based on secret information. A day after the incident, they were handed over to the court on Tuesday afternoon, March 12.

He also said that he heard that the DB police recovered 5 kg of ganja from the accused 3 policemen. However, no police official is confirming the exact amount of recovered drugs. Due to which the quantity of drugs has been created.

Meanwhile, till the time of writing this report (3:30 PM), no senior police officer is confirming the arrest.

District Detective Police Officer-in-Charge Enayet Hossain and Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Mamun Or Rashid said that no one will be exempted in the matter of drugs.

A law enforcement official said on condition of anonymity that no one was informed about the matter after they were arrested on Monday afternoon on March 11. The policeman was arrested with marijuana. Such news will tarnish the image of the police. That is why the police do not want to disclose the fact that they were arrested.
