Md. Arfat (29), a motorcycle rider was killed by a bus on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway in Kaggipara area of ​​Patia. He is the son of deceased Abu Taher of Ward No. 1 Kaggipara area of ​​Patia Municipality.

Yesterday (March 15) this accident happened around 2.30 pm on Friday.

According to eyewitness sources, Arfat owns a gas cylinder shop in Munsef Bazar of Patia municipality.

Around 2.30 pm on Friday, when he rode a motorcycle on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway, a passenger bus bound for Cox's Bazar hit his motorcycle from behind. At that time, he fell on the road and was seriously injured. Locals rescued him and first took him to Patia Upazila Health Complex and later to Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patia Crossing Highway Police Station Toufiqul Islam said that a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a bus in Kagi Para area. The killer bus has been seized.

 The duty officer of the police station said that a case has been filed in the Patia police station.
