Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates will take skilled human resources from Bangladesh


 Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have emphasized the recruitment of skilled human resources from Bangladesh. On the second day of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue on Sunday (February 11), the issue of hiring skilled workers was highlighted in a meeting with the Minister of State for Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment of Bangladesh.


In the meeting, State Minister Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury highlighted Bangladesh's commitment to follow global standards in labor export.


The UAE and Saudi Arabia have expressed interest in recruiting human resources in the health sector, renewable energy and mineral resources sectors. However, these two countries in the Middle East are emphasizing on sending skilled human resources to each sector.


In a separate meeting with Bangladesh, the representatives of the two countries discussed the matter seriously. In the meeting, State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury assured that various preparations have been made including training workshops to create skilled human resources.


The meeting was held with the representatives of Saudi Arabia in the morning local time on Sunday and the United Arab Emirates in the afternoon. Abu Zafar, the ambassador of Bangladesh to the Emirates, took part in it.


He said, Bangladesh got great response in the meeting. They are always interested in hiring workers from Bangladesh. But they have some suggestions like for skill development. Those matters will now be emphasized.


Meanwhile, a draft was released after two days of discussions at the Abu Dhabi Dialogue. The draft was developed through negotiations with the participation of labor-sending countries and labor-receiving countries. Based on this, the declaration will be issued after the next two months. Where the labor sending countries will work, what will be their skilled manpower preparation, training system and need-based labor supply will be decided.
