The dead body of a young man named Shahadat Hossain (22 years old) tied to a pillar on the roof of Gajra Bazar Krishi Bank building in Gajra Union of Matlab Uttar Upazila of Chandpur was recovered. It is believed that someone tied his hands and feet last night and brutally choked him to death.

The local residents have demanded that those involved in this brutal murder be brought under the law quickly and given a fair trial.
