RAB-15, Cox's Bazar is determined to implement zero tolerance policy against drugs in the responsible area. RAB-15 is working relentlessly with the aim of arresting the criminals involved in the crime and suppressing the spread of drugs across the country.
In continuation of this, the raiding team of RAB-15, Cox's Bazar came to know on the basis of secret information, that a drug dealer is coming from Godarbil towards the intersection of Bazar three roads on the east side of the BRAC office in the middle Godarbil area carrying drugs on a battery operated TomTom. Based on the news, on 27th February 2024 at approximately 11.45 hours, RAB-15, CPC-1 Teknaf Camp, a smart raiding party, under Teknaf Police Station, Cox's Bazar District, Teknaf Sadar Union, Madhyam Godarbil area, Brack office, in front of the store called Mother's Doa Store, on the east side of the three road junction of Bazar. A search operation was started by setting up a check post. Realizing the presence of the RAB raiding team during the check post, a man got down from the green battery operated tom tom and managed to arrest the driver of the battery operated tom tom before fleeing. During extensive questioning, the detainee admitted to having a Yaba tablet under the front seat of the green battery operated TomTom he was carrying. Subsequently, in front of the witnesses present, the total amount from inside a red colored shopping bag was shown and taken out by the detainee from under the front seat of the TomTom used by the arrested person 20,000 (twenty thousand) pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered.
Details of the arrested drug dealer: Syed Alam (25), father- Nabi Hossain, Sang-paschim Nightongpara, Teknaf Municipality, Thana- Teknaf, District- Cox's Bazar. During the interrogation, it is known that the arrested person has been driving a battery powered TomTom for a long time and has been dealing in drugs under the guise of being a driver. The arrested drug dealer Yaba was illegally collecting the drugs from neighboring border areas and supplying them to various places in Cox's Bazar by adopting this novel method to avoid arrest by the law and order forces.
A written statement has been submitted to the Teknaf Model Police Station of Cox's Bazar district to take necessary legal action against the arrested drug dealers along with the recovered evidence.
