On Sunday, February 4, 2024, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said that the police are working with the BGB on the Tambru border. Policemen are also ready to provide all kinds of cooperation to BGB.
Fierce fighting is raging inside Myanmar between rebel groups and the military junta. Their bullets and rocket launchers are flying at the Ghumdhum-Tumbru border of Naikshyongchari in Bandarban.
The residents of Ghumdhum-Tumbru area are panicking. They spend their days in fear and anxiety. Parents are unable to send their children to school. Also the farmers are afraid to go to the agricultural fields and go about their daily work.
They took shelter in Bandarban's Tumbru BGB camp on Sunday (February 4) morning.
