Mourning meeting in memory of BLF chief Belayat in Noakhali

A mourning meeting and doa mahfil was held in Noakhali in memory of the late Mahmudur Rahman Belayet, a former Member of Parliament, former President of Noakhali District Awami League and Chief of Greater Noakhali District Mujib Bahini (BLF) during the great liberation war.

On Sunday (February 25) morning at the Maijdi Bazar Green Hall of the district headquarter, under the overall supervision of the district Jubo League leader Delwar Hossain, the civil society organized a mourning meeting and blanket distribution ceremony under the chairmanship of District Awami League President Bir Muktijoddha Principal Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim, the Member of Parliament for reserved women's seat and the Chief Guest spoke. The late Mahmudur Rahman Belayat's wife is the brave freedom fighter Farida Khanum Saki.

District Awami League leader Delwar Hossain Mintur presided over the memorial speech of late Mahmudur Rahman, the heroic freedom fighter late Mahmudur Rahman, gave a commemorative speech highlighting the life history of Belayt. Secretary and Noakhali Municipal Mayor Sahid Uliah Khan Sohail, heroic freedom fighter Mizanur Rahman, district Awami League leader Abu Taher.

Freedom fighters, leaders of various levels of Awami League and people of local civil society were present in the mourning meeting.

Later, after prayers and prayers, blankets were distributed among more than two hundred helpless-poor men and women.
