Begum Rokeya University (Berobi) social and cultural organization Gungun-Ranan has started a six-day long book fair. If you buy a book in this fair, trees are free, initiative taken by Green Voice stall.
There are 42 book stalls in the book fair. A visit to Sarojmin shows that there is an exceptional book stall among the 42 book stalls. The name of that book stall is Green Voice. Fruits, forest and medicinal plants are being given as gifts on purchase of books from the said stall.
On the first day of the book fair, on Monday (February 12) morning, the environmentalist organization Green Voice Begum Rokeya University branch organized this.
On this day at the book fair square, it is seen that the stalls of various publications and organizations are crowded with buyers and visitors. Literary and cultural programs have been organized at the Independence Memorial Ground. Students of various educational institutions have participated in various events including poetry recitation, song, essay competition.
Many visitors to the fair buy their favorite books. But the influx of buyers at the Green Voice book stall is remarkable. Banners are provided in stalls to attract customers. The banner reads 'Buyers are being given trees as gifts.
Aminur Rahman, who bought a book and received a tree as a gift, said that a book fair is organized every year at Begum Rokeya University. It is our pleasure. I came here and bought a book and got a gift of a tree. Such arrangements will take the book fair to a different level. It was very good. Let it continue. Just as knowledge will be gained by reading books, environment can be saved by planting trees. I am impressed by this diverse organization on behalf of Green Voice.
