Pointing out that the golden chapter of the relationship between the two countries is going on under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the minister said that the two countries are working together on important issues including trade expansion, counter-terrorism, increasing public communication, power and energy, peace, security. The minister said that like India, elections are held in a festive atmosphere in Bangladesh. But, BNP and Jamaat always try to obstruct it. They discourage people from voting. But, the people of Bangladesh stopped those evil attempts. Awami League formed the government for the fourth consecutive time through fair and impartial elections.
Hasan Mahmud said that as a part of mutual cooperation, the Prime Ministers of the two countries have taken several initiatives, which are benefiting the people. Under the magical leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has achieved incredible success in various indicators.
Journalists are able to play a positive role in changing the society, the foreign minister said, adding that the media is facing big challenges around the world at present. The minister urged the journalists to be careful about various mistakes and false information spread on social media.
The Foreign Minister commented that China-Bangladesh development partners, but the relationship between Bangladesh and India is blood. He said, the relationship of Bangladesh can never be compared with the relationship of any other country. However, maintaining good relations with all neighboring states is crucial to sustain the progress of the South Asian region.
