Farewell reception for Assistant Commissioner Piyas Chandra Das in Companyganj

 

Ramzan Ali Rana, Companiganj (Noakhali) representative: Piyas Chandra Das, Companiganj Upazila Assistant Commissioner of Noakhali, was promoted to the post of Senior Assistant Secretary and transferred to the Sylhet Divisional Commissioner's office.

On Tuesday (February 28) evening, the upazila administration and officers' club initiated the executive officer at the upazila auditorium. The farewell ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Anwar Hossain Patwari and conducted by Statistics Officer Ajit Kumar Roy. Officials of various government departments, employees, public representatives, teachers and local media workers were present in the event. During this, the guests presented floral wishes and honorary crest to the outgoing officer.

In the event, Assistant Commissioner Piyas Chandra Das said, in our professional field, there is no rule to stay in one place for a long time, so we have to go to different districts and upazilas at intervals. However, although I have served in some upazilas before, I will miss the time in Companyganj a lot.

Piyas Chandra Das is a member of 36th batch of BCS administration cadre. He got an opportunity in the administration cadre and served for the first time in the Bhola District Commissioner's office as Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate. He joined the Assistant Commissioner of Companyganj Upazila on August 7, 2022, after serving in Barisal Divisional Commissioner's Office and Khagrachari Sadar Upazila with reputation.

It is to be noted that Piyas Chandra Das retired after being promoted as Senior Assistant Secretary after serving with reputation as Companyganj Upazila Assistant Commissioner for 18 months and 20 days.
