In a special operation of Kushtia Kumarkhali police station, a top drug dealer named Chayan (45) of Chheuria was arrested with 150 pieces of intoxicating Tapendadol tablets.
He was arrested by the police from Chheuria Mandalpara Char area under Kumarkhali police station yesterday (February 04) Sunday evening at approximately 7:30. The arrested Choin is the son of deceased Palan Mandal of Chheuria Mandalpara area.
Under the leadership of Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akibul Islam, Badhbazar Police Camp Incharge SI Emdadul Haque, ASI Shaheen, Constable Ruhul Amin and the joint force arrested him along with 150 pieces of Yaba tablets from Char area of Garai River under Kumarkhali Police Station under Kumarkhali Police Station. The arrested Cheon is the main associate of Hajidul, the top drug dealer in Chewria area. He had been running the drug business in the area for a long time. He has several drug cases against him.
Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kumarkhali Police Station Akibul Islam said, based on secret information, the drug dealer Chayan was arrested along with Tapendadol tablets. A case under the Narcotics Act has been registered against the accused in the police station. The accused has been sent to court for further legal action.
