Cox's Bazar Elder cousin stabbed to death by cousin 'due to previous dispute' in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar. The police initially think that this murder may have happened due to alienation. The deceased Chayed Karim (45) is the son of Abul Kashem of North Nidania village of Jaliapalong Union. However, Chalamat Ullah (38) involved in the incident has not yet been arrested, said the OC. They are both cousins. About the locals. Shamim Hossain said that Chayed Karim was returning home from the local station of North Nidania village of Jaliapalong Union in Ukhia in the morning. On the way, when he reached a place called Tetultala, his cousin Salamat Ullah suddenly attacked him. At one point he stabbed Chayed Karim in the chest and ran away. After getting the news, the relatives immediately rescued him and brought him to Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital. At that time, the doctor on duty in the emergency department of the hospital declared him dead. The OC said that the police are not sure what caused the murder. However, initially it is assumed that this incident happened due to the suspicion that Chayed Karim is having an affair with Salamat Ullah's wife. The younger brother of the deceased, Mizanur Rahman, said that at one time there was a dispute between his father and uncle over land. Later it was settled through social arbitration. His father's opponents were furious. Because of this anger, Chalamat Ullah stabbed him (Mizanur) in the head 2/3 years ago.
His brother was stabbed to death due to previous enmity. Police operation to arrest the person involved in the incident is continuing, said OC Shamim Hossain. He said that the body of the deceased has been kept at the Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
