A fire broke out in the market at Tongi in Gazipur

A fire broke out in the market of a large building named Maryam Mansion. About 6 people suffered minor burns.

The victims are Likhan, Liton, Rakib, Sagar, Roman and Manoyarul. They seek treatment at a local clinic.

 6 units of the fire service brought the fire under control in about one and a half hours.

Tongi Fire Service Station Officer Abu Mohammad Sajedul Kabir Joardar said that we received information about the fire on Wednesday, February 28 at quarter past 6 in the morning. Later, the fire was brought under control with the help of 6 units of Tongi and Uora.

According to fire service and local sources, a fire broke out in a multi-storey market at Maryam Mansion in Tongi Bazar in the morning. Seeing the smoke, the locals tried to put out the fire. However, if the fire fails to be controlled, information is given to Tongi Fire Service.

Tongi Fire Service Officer Abu Mohammad Sajedul Kabir Joardar said that three units of Tongi Fire Service joined the work of extinguishing the fire after receiving information about the fire. Later, three more units from Uttara Fire Station joined the fire control operation as the fire intensified. The fire was brought under control in about an hour and a half with the help of personnel from a total of six units.

According to fire service sources, 6 people suffered minor burns in the fire incident.

It has been reported that the goods worth several crores of rupees stored in the warehouse of Arfin Traders owners Md. Sohail and Monir Hossain on the third and fourth floors of the building were destroyed in the fire.
