Security arrangements for autumn festival will depend on the situation: DMP Commissioner

DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman said during the security coordination meeting at the DMP headquarters to celebrate the Durgo Festival on October 8, the security system of the Autumn Durgo Festival will depend on the situation.

In the security coordination meeting, he said that the mobile number of the puja committee and the police patrol will be posted publicly in every puja mandab. So that the puja celebration committee and the general public can communicate easily at any time. The inspection check list will be signed by senior officials at the time of inspection. The Inspector of Police (Investigation Department) of the concerned police station will be aware and informed about the work of the volunteers.

DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman said, Bangladesh has been a country of communal harmony since the country's independence. Citizens of all levels of the country want to build a non-communal and peaceful Bangladesh with the aim of realizing the dream of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu. Only then will we be able to build the golden Bangladesh of our dreams.

At the beginning of the meeting, DMP's Joint Commissioner of Police (Operations) Biplab Kumar Sarkar presented all the security measures taken by DMP during Autumn Durgo Festival. Sharadiya Durgotsav will end with the sacrifice of idols.
