Mumtaz said that politics means working for the common people and not looking after one's own interests

 

Manikganj 2 Constituency Member of Parliament and singer Momtaz Begum commented on politics as the chief guest in the speech of the chief guest at the cloth distribution ceremony courtesy Anand Sahar, President of Khanaria Union Awami League, on the occasion of Autumn Durgo Festival in Matlabpur village of Ward No. 5 of Khanaria Union of Sadar Upazila of Manikganj district on October 14, Saturday afternoon. Working for the people by the side of the people, not looking after their own interests.

On that occasion, Member of Parliament Mumtaz Begum said, "Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP is filling its stomach with paper rice grains or not?" I will bring people's leader Sheikh Hasina to power by voting again in the parliamentary elections.

The general secretary of Khararia Union Awami League Sumon Miah was in charge of the cloth distribution ceremony. Manikganj Sadar Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Abdul Latif Tota, Singair Upazila Awami League General Secretary Md. Shahidur Rahman, District Awami Mahila League General Secretary Anwara Khatun were present in the said ceremony. Md Mohidur Rahman, chairman of Putail Union Parishad, convener of Harirampur Upazila Awami Jubo League, Aminur Rahman Chowdhury Milton, along with leaders of district, upazila and union Awami League affiliated organizations were present.English

Sarees, three pieces and lungis were distributed among about 2 thousand helpless, distressed and poor families.
