In the news conference, he said, Begum Zia is not getting proper treatment according to the disease. As a result of liver infection, stomach water is flowing repeatedly. High doses of antibiotics are not working. He has been taken to CCU two or two times due to water from his stomach reaching his heart. He has to undergo liver transfer. Now he needs advanced treatment. If advanced treatment is not provided, he can die anytime.

In the press conference, the doctor also said that 4 bags of blood were given to the BNP chairperson due to internal bleeding. He has been kept under intensive observation for 24 hours. We have tried our best to make him well. But now his better treatment is the only hope. 2 years ago, Begum Zia's stomach and heart would not have suffered such bleeding if she had been treated with TIPS method. His condition was not so serious.

Doctors say tips and liver transplants are not done in Bangladesh. In 2006 and 2008, liver transplant was started experimentally in Bardem Hospital, but it could not be continued. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University started experimental liver and transplant a few days ago, but it was stopped again. As a result, his only hope was to go abroad for advanced treatment.
