Health Minister Zahid Malek said that the ICDDRB of our country has experimentally developed a dengue vaccine. This vaccine is very effective. Now the test is going on with this vaccine. The vaccine will be approved by the World Organization. Not discovered.


The health minister also said that although the dengue situation is under control in Dhaka, the dengue situation outside Dhaka is very high. Nine thousand dengue patients are under treatment in different hospitals of the country. There is no shortage of saline for all these patients. We had given permission to import 7 lakh diameter saline and the import of 3 lakh bags of saline has been completed and the remaining 4 lakh bags of saline will be imported soon. It is being distributed to different hospitals of the country. Also, the private pharmaceutical manufacturing companies of our country have increased the production of saline. As far as we know, they are capable of producing 5.3 million bags of saline per month.


Health Minister said currently we need two million bags of saline. If the number of dengue patients increases then 30 lakh bags will be needed.
