Onions are being sold at Tk 90 to Tk 95 per kg in grocery stores and van mobile shops. In the raw market, retail traders are selling at Tk 80 to Tk 90 and wholesale traders are selling at Tk 65 per kg.


Eggs are being sold at 145 taka per dozen in the grocery store. But inside the mohalla, the price of each dozen eggs is 150 taka.

When asked why such a price increase is happening to the traders, they said that such unbridled price increase is due to buying at a higher price than the price set by the government. They said that if we could buy the product at a fair price, the consumer could have bought it at a fair price. Who is responsible for such price increase? When the various buyers in the market ask whether the price of the product is within their purchasing power, they are trapped by a class cycle in the country due to which the price of daily commodities in the country is unbridled.
