Traffic Police Sub Inspector Jamal Uddin (56) was killed in Kaliakair Upazila under Gazipur District after being hit by a pickup van loaded with fish. It is known that such a tragic road accident took place in Palli Bidut area of Dhaka-Tangail highway at 6:50 am today, according to local news.
Deceased Jamal Uddin was employed as TSI in Kaliakair police station of Gazipur district. Deceased Jamal Uddin joined the Bangladesh Police Force in 1986. He joined the duty of traffic police in August 2023. Deceased Jamal Uddin is the son of Junab Ali of Gala village of Sadar Upazila of Tangail district.
Gazipur District Police Additional Superintendent of Police Md Sanwar Hossain confirmed this information and according to eyewitnesses and local sources of the police, it is known that the deceased Jamal Uddin, who was going to Urbanga, was stopped by a truck loaded with cement and was looking at documents when a fish-laden pickup van hit him from behind. Later, his classmates rushed him. He was rescued from there and taken to Safipur Tanha Medical. Seeing no improvement in his condition, they took him to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital, where the doctor in charge declared the deceased Jamal Uddin as dead. Gazipur District Police Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Sanwar Hossain said that the body of the deceased Jamal Uddin is in Enam Medical and the driver and the pickup are under the law. After the completion of the legal process, the body will be handed over to his family.
