Members of Narcotics Control in Barisal city were arrested while selling ganja to the general public

 
Two Members of the Narcotics Control Department were arrested with 1.5 kg of ganja from the general public in Palashpur slum of Barisal district. The two arrested from the public were handed over to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB). During this time, 1.5 kg of ganja was recovered from them and they clashed with the local people. It is known that more ganja was destroyed while doing it. Additional Divisional Director of Barisal Narcotics Control Directorate Paritosh Kumar Kundu revealed the truth of this incident.

The arrested are SI Obaidullah Khan and Constable Md Sabur of Barisal Narcotics Control Directorate. SI Obaidullah is the PUA of Abdul Malek of Satoria village of Muktagachha Upazila of Mymensingh District. Constable Md Sabur is the son of Md Selim of Uor Tishak village of Nesharabad Upazila of Pirojpur district.

According to RAB and police sources, around 6:30 this morning, they brought bags of ganja to Mohammadpur Dogerpar, ward no. A scuffle ensued and ganja came out of their bag. Then a large number of people gathered there on the shouts of the locals and the villagers detained them and informed the RAB and the police and handed them over to them.

Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Barisal Metropolitan Kaunia police station, said, "In a joint operation of RAB-Police, two of them were arrested with marijuana. The police have filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act as the plaintiff. Case No.- 26/23.

Narcotics Control Directorate Additional Director (in charge of Deputy Director) Paritosh Kumar Kundu said, two senior officers have been sent to the spot after hearing the news. We have looked into the matter. Departmental action will be taken against those involved in the incident if the copy of the case is received.
