India's Chandrayaan-3 is sleeping on the moon. Lander Vikram and rover Pragyan are supposed to be alerted on September 22. In the meantime, vibrations have been felt on the ground of the moon. Mysterious sounds are heard. In addition, cracks were also seen. However, scientists said that this is a normal phenomenon on the moon.
According to the Indian media India Today, a group of researchers from the Caltech Institute reported this information in a journal called Physiological Research. The head of the research team, Francisco Civilini, said that this is due to the temperature difference on the surface of the moon.
Francisco Sivilini said, 'Because of the temperature difference, such vibrations are felt on the lunar surface. The moon is not a peaceful place. The temperature on the moon is 120 degrees Celsius during the day. Again -130 degrees Celsius at night. As a result, the lunar surface expands and contracts. And that's when little jolts and cracks appear, creating vibrations.
In the seventies of the last century, the American space research agency NASA sent a seismometer to the moon through the Apollo 17 mission. This vibration of the moon has been detected. However, this information has not yet been reviewed. Most tremors are felt in the afternoon.
Studies have shown that the moon's surface begins to cool as soon as the sun moves from its highest position in the sky. The vibrations of the thermal moon change significantly each afternoon. And this is what causes the vibration.
This may happen in the morning as well. But this time the vibration found is a little more. That's why scientists are thinking again.
